[සංස්කරණය]- අරාජික (Anarchy) - Absence, or lack of government.[1][2]
- ව්යවස්ථාපිත රජාණ්ඩු (Constitutional Monarchy) - A government that has a monarch, but his/her power is strictly limited by the government. Example: United Kingdom.
- ප්රජාතාන්ත්රික ආණ්ඩු (Democracy) - Rule by a government where the people as a whole hold the power. It may be exercised by them (direct democracy), or through representatives chosen by them (representative democracy).[3][4][5]
- Despotism - Governing by a single individual, the despot, who wields all the power and authority of the state. Other persons are subsidiary to the despot.
- ඒකාධිපතිවාදය - Rule by an individual who has full power over the country.[6] See also Autocracy and Stratocracy.
- රජාණ්ඩු (Monarchy) - Rule by an individual who has inherited the role and expects to bequeath it to their heir.[7]
- රදල ආණ්ඩු (Oligarchy) - Rule by a small group of people who share similar interests or family relations.[8]
- ධනපති ආණ්ඩු (Plutocracy) - A government composed of the wealthy class.
- පූජක තන්ත්ර (Theocracy) - Rule by a religious elite.[9]
- Tyranny - Governing by a single ruler, the tyrant, holding vast, if not absolute power through a state.
