චුම්බක තරු
චුම්බක තරු එසේත් නැත්නම් මැග්නටාර (ඉංග්රීසි: magnetar) යනු අතිශය බලවත් චුම්බක ක්ෂේත්රයක් (~109 සිට 1011 T, ~1013 සිට 1015 G) සහිත න්යුට්රෝන තරු වර්ගයකි.[1] චුම්බක ක්ෂේත්ර ක්ෂයවීම හේතු කොට ගෙන, විශේෂයෙන්ම X-කිරණ සහ ගැමා කිරිණ වැනි ඉහළ-ශක්ති සහිත විද්යුත් චුම්බක විකිරණ විමෝචනය සිදුවෙයි.[2]
