මැඩගස්කරය හෙවත් මැඩගස්කර් ජනරජය, අප්රිකාවේ ගිනිකොණ වෙරලට ඔබ්බෙහි ඉන්දියන් සාගරයේ පිහිටා ඇති දිවයිනක් වේ. මැඩගස්කරය නමින් ද හඳුන්වනු ලබන ප්රධාන දූපත, ලොව පිහිටි විශාලත්වයෙන් සිව්වන ස්ථානය ගන්නා වූ දූපතක් වන අතර ලෝකයේ ශාක සහ සත්ව විශේෂයන් ගෙන් සියයට 5% ක පමණ ප්රමාණයකට නිවහන ද වේ. මින් සියයට 80% ක පමණ ප්රතිශතයක් මැඩගස්කරයට පමණක් ආවේනික වෙති.
ප්රයිමේතාවන්ගේ උනහපුළු අවගෝත්රය (Lemur infraorder of primates) මාංශ භක්ෂක ෆෙපාසා (Carnivorous Fossa) පක්ෂීන් කුල තුනක්, (Three birds families) සහ බා - ඩ- බාබ් වෘක්ෂ විශේෂ හයක් (Six baobab species) යනාදී මේ අතර වෙයි.
ජනගහනයෙන් තුනෙන් දෙකක්ම ජාත්යන්තර දෛනික අවම ආදායම් මට්ටම වූ ඇමෙරිකන් ඩොලර් 1.25 කටත් වඩා පහල ආදායම් ලබමින් දිවිගෙවන්නෝ වෙති.
