ස්වභාවික ඉතිහාසය

ස්වභාවික ඉතිහාසය (ඉංග්රීසි: Natural history), යනු පර්යේෂණාත්මක අධ්යයන ක්රමවලට වඩා නිරීක්ෂණ වෙත නැඹුරු වන සතුන්, දිලීර සහ ශාක ඇතුළු ජීවීන් ඔවුන්ගේ ස්වභාවික පරිසරය තුළ සම්බන්ධ වන විමර්ශන වසමකි. ස්වභාවික ඉතිහාසය හදාරන පුද්ගලයෙකු ස්වභාවවාදියෙකු (ඉංග්රීසි: naturalist) හෝ ස්වභාවික ඉතිහාසඥයෙකු (ඉංග්රීසි: natural historian) ලෙස හැඳින්වේ.
ස්වභාවික ඉතිහාසය [[Scientific method|විද්යාත්මක පර්යේෂණ] ඇතුළත් නමුත් එයට සීමා නොවේ.[1] එයට ස්වභාවික වස්තූන් හෝ ජීවීන්ගේ ඕනෑම කාණ්ඩයක් ක්රමානුකූලව අධ්යයනය කිරීම ඇතුළත් වේ.[2]
