Parameters

Parameter	Description	Example
id	The internal redlist id number.	In http://www.iucnredlist.org/apps/redlist/details/149100/0, the id is 149100.
taxon	The scientific name	Passer domesticus
assessors	The person or group who assessed the status of the species	BirdLife International
assessment_year	The year the assessor evaluated the species.	2009
version	The version of the list	2010.2
iucn_year	The year the version was published if the version is unknown.	2010
accessdate	The date you downloaded the data	22 July 2010

Notes

The output of this template is patterned after the suggested citation format at the bottom of IUCN detail pages. This suggested citation contains all the data needed by this template.

The IUCN version is not to be confused with the criteria version (e.g. 3.1).

If the version is known then using iucn_year in not required as the template will derive the year from the version number.
