To resolve this error:
- use a more appropriate citation template, or
- place the content of the
|chapter=parameter in|title=, or - for {{cite news}},
|department=can be used to give the name of the newspaper's section, such as "Obituaries", or - for {{citation}}, remove
|work=or its aliases such as|website=and place their content in|title=if appropriate - move the content of the
|chapter=parameter out of the template, before the closing </ref>
