This template can be used for any park, nature reserve or gardens.

Only the name parameter is required. If the park has an alternative name (for example, in the native language), this can be specified using the alt_name parameter. If the default image size is not appropriate, the image_size parameter may be used to override the default. If you specify an image you should also specify a value for the alt text parameter for visually impaired readers who might use a screen reader. Please see WP:ALT.

If you leave a field blank, it will not display on the article page.

Use {{coord}} template with display=inline,title to display the coordinates.

The {{convert}} template can be used to display the size (area). Please see WP:UNITS.

The image dot map parameters work the same way as Template:Infobox settlement. If you define image_dot_map, then the other fields become active.

Microformat

The HTML markup produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the place-name and location parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue articles across Wikipedia, or via a browser tool operated by a person, to (for example) add the subject to an address book. Within the hCard is a Geo microformat, which additionally makes the coordinates (latitude & longitude) parsable, so that they can be, say, looked up on a map, or downloaded to a GPS unit. Sub-templates

If the place or venue has "established", "founded", "opened" or similar dates, use {{start date}} for the earliest of those dates unless the date is before 1583 CE.

If it has a URL, use {{URL}}.

Please do not remove instances of these sub-templates.

Precision

When giving coordinates, please use an appropriate level of precision. Do not use {{coord}}'s |name= parameter.
