සාගර විද්යාව
සාගර විද්යාව හෙවත් සමුද්ර විද්යාව (ග්රීක අර්ථය සාගර ලේඛනය යන්නයි.)යනු සාගර අධ්යයනය හා දියඹ විද්යාව වශයෙන් හැඳින්වෙන පෘථිවියේ සාගර හා මුහුද පිළිබඳව අධ්යයනය කරන දියඹ විද්යාවේ ශාඛාවකි. එයින් පරාසයක් ආවරණය කරන අතර සාගර ජීවීන් සහ පරිසර පද්ධති, සාගර තරංග, මුහුදු රැළි, භූ භෞතික විද්යාත්මක ද්රව ගතිකයන්, කැටි භූ ලක්ෂණ, මුහුදු පතුලේ භූ විද්යාව සහ සාගර තුළ හා එහි සීමා හරහා මතුවන භෞතික ලක්ෂණ මෙන්ම විවිධ රසායනික සංඝටක ස්රාවයන් පිළිබඳව අධ්යයනයද ඊට අයත්වේ. මෙම පුළුල්ව පැතිරුණු මාතෘකා මඟින් ප්රතිබිම්භනය කරන්නේ ලෝකයේ සාගර පිළිබඳ දැනුම හා එහි ක්රියාකාරීත්වයන් පිළිබඳ අවබෝධයට සාගර විද්යාඥයින් විසින් වෙනත් මිශ්රිත දැනුම සම්භාරයක් හැදෑරිය යුතු බව හා එය බහු විෂයයක් බවය. ඒ යටතට ජීව විද්යාව, රසායන විද්යාව, භූ විද්යාව, කාලගුණික විද්යාව හා භෞතික විද්යාව අයත්වේ.
