Licensing update[සංස්කරණය]
Recently the Wikimedia Foundation started migrating copyright licensing of all of its wiki projects, including Wikipedia, from the GNU Free Documentation License to the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License. The migration was scheduled to be completed on June 15. See here for more information.
However Sinhala Wikipedia still remains under GNU Free Documentation License.

Automatic typing in Sinhala script[සංස්කරණය]
Hi,
Would you like to have an input system which enables the users to automatically type in Sinhala on Sinhala Wikipedia?
For example, Amharic Wikipedia has implemented such as a system so whenever you edit an article there, the amharic script automatically shows up. Such a system has also been successfully implemented on the following Wikipedias:
- Assamese Wikipedia
- Bengali Wikipedia
- Tibetan Wikipedia
- Dzongkha Wikipedia
- Gujarati Wikipedia
- Hindi Wikipedia
- Kannada Wikipedia
- Malayalam Wikipedia
- Marathi Wikipedia
- Nepali Wikipedia
- Newari Wikipedia
- Oriya Wikipedia
- Punjabi Wikipedia
- Telugu Wikipedia
