පසු මධ්‍යතන යුගයේ සාහිත්‍ය
දැනුමෙන්යුත් පන්ති අතර ලතින් සාහිත්‍ය නිරන්තරයෙන් සැරි සරන ලදී. නොමර්න්ඩ් ආක්‍රමණයෙන් පසු ඇන්ග්ලෝ නෝර්මන්ඩ් රාජධානිය තුළ ඇන්ග්ලෝ නොමර්න්ඩ් සාහිත්‍යයේ දියුණු වීම යුරෝපානු මහද්වීපයේ Chanson De Geste වැනි සාහිත්‍ය ප්‍රවණතා ඇති වීමට හේතුවිය.
පසු මධ්‍යතන යුගයේදී වර්ථමානයේදී මධ්‍ය ඉංග්‍රීසි ලෙස හදුන්වන නව ආකාරයේ ඉංග්‍රීසි භාෂාවක් භාවිතයට පැමිණියේය. මෙය නූතන පාඨකයන්ට හා අසන්නන්ට තේරුම් ගත හැකි මුල්ම ආකාරය වන නමුත් එය එතරම් පහසු නොවෙයි.
