Thanks, Lee and Piolinfax! Hopefully the project isn't closed soon. I'd like to pester UOC to get some people here to help out. Hi, Kylu. Thanks for your message. Sorry it took me so long to answer (I am on holiday right now) I think contacting UOC is a good idea :). Currently I am not very keen on being an admin anywhere in Wikimedia but I can accept the post for a few weeks if it were of any help here. Anyway, due to the way I log on the internet, probably I will not be able to see the Sinhala fonts from the the end of the first week of September onwards. I am interested in this (and other) project(s) development because I firmly believe in cultural diversity and I think that transferring wiktionaries to the Incubator is an unnecessary, heavy hindrance at several levels both for Wikimedia and, especially, for the languages involved. If I can help any existing wiktionary to avoid ending up like bo.wikt, xh.wikt, pi.wikt and others (i.e. virtually hidden for most people, tethered to innecesary bureaucracy and delays and in an environment significantly more difficult to edit and deal with than its original site, that is, a site for an even-higher-level élite), I will certainly try and help them avoid getting short-sightedly (and unfairly: usually those proposing closures never try to contact the relevant community about it) buried. --Piolinfax ^(Talk) 01:22, 17 අගෝස්තු 2008 (UTC)
