මොණරාගල මැතිවරණ දිස්ත්රික්කය යනු ශ්රී ලංකාවේ 1978 ආණ්ඩුක්රම ව්යවස්ථාව මගින් නිර්මාණය කරන ලද ශ්රී ලංකාවේ මැතිවරණ දිස්ත්රික්ක 22 බහු-මන්ත්රී මැතිවරණ දිස්ත්රික්ක න් එකකි. මෙම දිස්ත්රික්කය ඌව පළාතේ මොණරාගල පරිපාලන දිස්ත්රික්කය හා සමපාත වේ. මෙම දිස්ත්රික්කය දැනට ශ්රී ලංකා පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ මන්ත්රීවරුන් 225 දෙනාගෙන් 5 දෙනෙකු තෝරා පත් කර ගන්නා අතර 2010 දී ලියාපදිංචි ඡන්දදායකයින් 300,642 ක් සිටියහ.[2] The district is Sri Lanka's Electorate Number 20.[4]
