පොන්ස්, පුවර්ටෝ රිකෝ
පොන්ස් (Spanish: [ˈponse] ) යනු පුවර්ටෝ රිකෝ හි දකුණු වෙරළ තීරයේ පිහිටි නගරයක් සහ මහ නගර සභාවකි. සැන් ජුවාන් අගනගර ප්‍රදේශයෙන් පිටත වඩාත්ම ජනාකීර්ණ නගරය වන පොන්ස්, 1692 අගෝස්තු 12 වන දින ආරම්භ කරන ලදී[note 1][note 2] සහ ස්පාඤ්ඤ ජයග්‍රාහක ජුවාන් පොන්ස් ද ලියොන් නගරයේ[a] මී මුනුපුරා වන ජුවාන් පොන්ස් ද ලියොන් සහ ලොයිසා සහ ක්වෙන්පාස් නගරය (ජෙනිප් නගරය) යන අයගේ නමින් නම් කර ඇත.
මෙම නගරය ස්වයං පාලන මහ නගර සභාවේ රජයේ ආසනය ලෙස මෙන්ම පුවර්ටෝ රිකෝහි ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨාධිකරණය වැනි විවිධ පුවර්ටෝ රිකෝ රජයේ ආයතන සඳහා කලාපීය මධ්‍යස්ථානය ලෙසද සේවය කරයි. එය විවිධ එක්සත් ජනපද ෆෙඩරල් රජයේ ආයතන සඳහා කලාපීය මධ්‍යස්ථානය ද වේ. පොන්ස් යනු පොන්ස් මෙට්‍රොපොලිටන් සංඛ්‍යාන ප්‍රදේශය සහ පොන්ස්-යෝකෝ-කෝමෝ ඒකාබද්ධ සංඛ්‍යාන ප්‍රදේශය යන දෙකෙහිම ප්‍රධාන නගරයක් වන අතර, 2020 එක්සත් ජනපද සංගණනයට අනුව, පිළිවෙලින් ජනගහනය 278,477 සහ 333,426 කි. නිල වශයෙන් පොන්ස්හි ස්වයං පාලන මහ නගර සභාව වන පොන්ස් මහ නගර සභාව, දිවයිනේ දකුණු වෙරළබඩ තැනිතලා කලාපයේ, ඇඩ්ජුන්ටාස්, උටුවාඩෝ සහ ජයුයා වලට දකුණින් පිහිටා ඇත; පෙනුවෙලාස් වලට නැගෙනහිරින්; ජුවානා ඩියාස්ට බටහිරින්; සහ දකුණින් කැරිබියානු මුහුදෙන් මායිම් වේ. නගර සභාවට බැරියෝ 31ක් ඇති අතර, ඉන් 19ක් නගරයේ නාගරික ප්‍රදේශයෙන් පිටත සහ 12ක් නගරයේ නාගරික ප්‍රදේශයේ ඇත. භූමි ප්‍රමාණය අනුව එය පුවර්ටෝ රිකෝහි දෙවන විශාලතම වන අතර 1992 දී පොන්ස්හි ස්වයං පාලන මහ නගර සභාව බවට පත්වෙමින් එහි ස්වයං පාලනය ලබා ගත් පුවර්ටෝ රිකෝහි පළමු අවස්ථාව මෙය විය.
