Professor Siri kolamunnage

Renowned academic, educationalist, writer, poet, astrologer Late Prof. Siri kolamunnage was a giant in 60 s of promoting Sinhala Buddhist culture not only in Sri Lanka, but also internationally. He has penned the first modern bodhi pooja book in early sixties at a time where practice was not given prominence in society like today. His astrological researches and predications amazed whole world. Lekana mala , Lama sahitya samgaraya , Skanda kumara pooja mala , lankawe devivaru , kohomba kankaniya are few of his famous publications. Graha bala saha grahayoga was one of the first books that came into light after his astrological researches. Throughout his life time he was a vegetarian and always promoted vegetarianism.Practised avihimsa. He has given a hope for life of thousands by curing incurables by adopting budda’s way. Late Professor Siri Kolamunnage has offered Sahitya Chakravarthi , Sri Lanka Thilaka honorary tiles for the service he had rendered to the mankind.
