Anuradha Uduwage is PhD Student at University of Minnesota GroupLens Research, team. And his advisors are John Riedl, and Joseph Konstan.
Anuradha is interest in applying data mining and machine learning techniques to analyse social networks, Social Graphs, Structural Holes in Social Networks and Social Theories behind these social networks. Coming from a diverse background he likes to explore how cultural diversity and gender impact in social media. He is a simple person who enjoys any out door activities and he loves to cycle. He tries to get the maximum out of it during short summers in Minneapolis. He loves to workout and plays pickup basketball whenever he can because he simply loves basketball. Recently he has been exploring Squash. He also plays couple of music instruments (Tabla, Sitar) composes music and write lyrics with his high school buddy Ranidu. Couple of songs that he wrote got BBC Radio air time during 2009 and 2010. Anuradha is a proud citizen of beautiful Sri Lanka. He is happily married to his beautiful Niva (as he calls her 'Adare') and they call Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Washington D.C and Minneapolis as their home.
