Here are some issues:
1. The tone of the article is wrong. The tone is non academic and non critical and thus the article can hardly be titled "the history of Buddhism"
2. Lack of citations. If one is writing on the history of Buddhism which has nothing to do with the "teachings" then one must resort to archelogical references and if one quotes scriptural references then one must provide citations. Take for example the article on Islam on wiki. It widely quotes the quran and hadith as well as some archeological references and gives a LOT of citations. Please see to it that citations are provided
3. The content of the article and the title are contradictory.
